i do like that it now tells you that a players rights are held by a team, but could there be a sort option to filter between ufa and rfa players too? or maybe where it says 'RW Player Name (FA)' it could be (RFA) or (UFA)?

also, i offered a bunch of contracts to players who signed with other teams but the money i offered is still in 'reserve'. i have $28million in projected budget room and $26.9million in offered contracts, but only 2 active offers of $550,000 each.

Okay, this stumped me at first, but I think what you need to do is go to Free Agent Center, right click on the offered contract, and then withdraw it.

I have noticed that this option isn't always available, but I am pretty sure during the offseason it is. Perhaps someone can elaborate. In the meantime, I think this will free up a lot of your resources.

that works with active offers only. the problem is that none of the offers that are taking up my $$ are active. the players have all signed with other teams.

Oh poop.... I didn't realize that. That sounds like it is a bug then since an offer to an already signed player should either be removable or auto-removed. In either case the issue would be DOA for a real Front Office, right? Shoot, for a real front office to still have an offer on an already signed player would probably be tampering...

Well, my 1/50 of a dollar didn't help much, can anyone else add to the discussion? I'd like to know as well in case I run into this situation.

its no good, almost a game breaker. cant make any offers to FAs as i have no budget left...

i decided to sim ahead to see if the offered money would reappear. it hasnt. i have $40,062,447 in offered contracts, with no active offers. i also have $17million in cap space that i cant use because i have -$2million available for FAs...

also just had a strange crash. i was simming ahead to a specific date, august 31, 2014, and once it got to august 31, i went to my news screen. every time i hit 'read all news' it advanced a day before crashing on september 8, 2014. reopened, seems ok so far. i wonder if my install isnt corrupted somehow.

now the season has started and i have -$6,809,182 available for free agents, and i havent made any roster moves since the last post.

that does look pretty similar. did you offer contracts to players who signed with other teams at any point?

i did a fresh install, deleted all of the old data, and started a new game. we shall see what july 1 brings...
