Minor League FA RPs requesting Major League Contracts

I have seen numerous (IE almost all of them) minor league free agent relievers only wanting to sign for major league contracts. 18, 19, 20, 21 years old pitchers also, not just the ones that are 25, 26.

I could understand this happening in the offseason as they want to hold out, but really once the preseason hits, or at least the regular season, they should settle for a minor league contract. They just basically sit out the entire season because nobody wants to give them a major league contract when they are a few years from being major league ready.

It's a shame, too, because some of these guys are 3, 4, and even 5 stars for potential.
