Custom League Setup Question(s)

I want to make a league with relegation and promotion (like European soccer leagues). How would I do this? I was thinking I would make different divisions into the different leagues (and turn off the playoffs). Any other ideas/suggestions? Also, I am assuming that if I used historical players/drafts I would have to use divisions, etc.

How hard would it be to move the teams to different divisions, or leagues?

Any other ideas/suggestions?

Edit - Also, trying to figure out how to set up the draft, etc. This may be more than I wanted to take on.

You could go with one major league and add unaffiliated minors as the lower divisions. I don't know how you will go about setting up a draft to feed the minors though, unless you just fill all the minor leagues team's roster with fictional player for the initial year and they can use the free agent pool to acquire talents in later years.

For the promotion / relegation issue - in the off season you can go to the league set-up section and choose the edit structure. There you can move the teams around as you wish, between leagues, divisions etc
