It's compatible to the previous version.

Awesome idea with the iPhone and iPad, but...

ANDROID and the ANDROID PAD will far exceed the user base of the both the iphone and ipad by the spring. This is not met to start a war

I would strongly advise/suggest - don't pigeonhole yourself and develop for the hot platform today. Think 9-18 months down the road when the iPad will have a minority share in the pad market. Seems unlikely, not really, already the iPhone is being dwarfed by Android installation per week and it's a more open platform.

I understand this is a different development set, but please consider this and don't fall behind the curve. Wait for Christmas time and the only think you are going to hear about is Android Pads. My 2 cents...

You mean PC <-> iPhone? No, that will definitely not be possible as the iPhone doesn't have near the RAM or disk space needed for a full OOTP database. It will be a stripped down version with the basic stats etc. and will not be cross-compatible.

iOOTP will NOT be a fully featured OOTP! It will use the simulation & news engine, the rest has to be reduced to the basics in order to make it work on the platform. And it won't cost $40...

I am pretty sure this projection will not happen

Again, Android is nice and all, but we will not invest time unless Google offers a working app store with a decent return policy (which is fair to the developer, and not just the user).

You'd be better off developing a web application that could be played from any browser with a mobile layout for any cell phone and a standard layout for other larger devices like laptops and PCs. Most browsers now support the offline capabilities of HTML5 so you wouldn't even necessarily always need an internet connection to play. Then you could create whatever kind of pricing/return model you want...

The Android Market return policy (in the US) is 24 hours for a full refund, once per application. How is that unfair to the developer?
