Where do players go when they are traded for?

Where does a player go when you trade for them? The guy was on their ML roster when the trade was made. Its been a couple days now and I can't find the player I traded for. When you search for the player he comes up as being on my ML team but I can't find him. Please help.

I believe they are Designated for Assignment

Yes, look at your roster and then click on transactions and look for the DFA screen.
