An English Influence...

Hi, I am the latest baseball fan to be absolutely bowled over by OOTP4...but I do have a few suggestions for number 5.

There is a HUGELY popular football (soccer) text simulation in developed in England (and is pretty much popular across all of Europe).

This game has some fantastic features which would be so perfect for OOTP;

+ media & player interaction; players can complain or become unsettled if not played, players can become unsettled with other players and/or management decisions, newspapers question manager moves (you can reply with a press comment).

This basically adds a new dimension of man management...handling the egos and the press...making sure you balance these relationships well.

+ more indepth contract negotiations which occur in this soccer game and could be carried through with OOTP. The integration of club, player and mutual options (as they have in MLB) and waivers etc. Signing on fees, bonuses etc.

This is a feature that we are well aware of and trying to add in over time.

If the players are not being played, or if they are on the trading block, they will sometimes send you an email saying that they are not happy.

It doesn't seem to affect their play though. They complain, but they don't do anything about it, aside from maybe refusing to resign (not sure if this is even the case).

I like this idea A LOT but only for fictional leagues, it should be an option since it would be impossible to figure out which historical players were surly or not except in the most obvious cases and even then it would create a great deal of debate (e.g. Babe Ruth)
