4 man rotation
Right now I am in an online league GMing the LA Angels. With injuries to Escobar and Lackey (5-6 weeks) to start season, I was thinking about a 4 man rotation. My 5th starter is awful and will lose probably all or most of his games. How tired would my starters be to go 4 man until Lackey is back. Will it be beneficial at all? Thoughts!?

Depends on the depth of your bullpen, but you might want to put a 70 pitch limit on your starters, so you should get 5 innings out of them, and that should give them some shorter recovery times.

Thats another problem Scott Shields is out for 2 weeks to start season. Bullpen will be above average when he comes back.

Go with a four-man if you have league strategy set to 'Low' pitcher endurance.
Really, any manager wants to use a four-man rotation and feather in the fifth starter only when necessary (long stretches of games). |
