importing/exporting team files...please explain

i posted this over in the STB forum (cause i'm using STB instead of OOTP), but i thought the nice folks over here would maybe have some suggestions as well...

aiight, i'm the commish of my online league w/ a few friends (6 people...12 teams) and basically here is what i've done and where i've had problems:

1) set up the league structure on a main pc (my laptop)
2) held draft w/ everyone to fill rosters
3) zipped up the newly rostered (is that even a word? ) league folder and then sent it to all the GMs
4) set up the FTP server w/ everyone and had each GM test their connections...all were successful
5) all the GMs set up their own teams and then used the "Export team to FTP" option successfully
6) i used the "Import all teams from FTP" option under ONLINE LEAGUE SETUP to successfully import the GMs lineups and moves
7) simmed one month of the season on my laptop and exported all stats to HTML and then to the league website

Here's where the problems start

8) i then export each team individually to the ftp server (is there a way to do this w/ one click like the import?)
9) once the GMs try to use the "Import team from FTP" option, they get an error that says Import failed. Export is invalid or out of date. ....or something similar....this even happens when i export to my local machine and then send the files through email as well.

any suggestions? also, should the GMs be using the IMPORT ALL TEAMS FROM FTP option under ONLINE OPTIONS or should they just import their individual teams?

another question i have is...what league info shows up when a GM import is successful after a sim? ie, team standings, league leaders, etc....should they rely on the numbers in the game or should they be just checking the HTML (website) and just doing their rosters locally?

thanks for all the help....sturmie
