VBL League Proposal

The Virtual Baseball League (VBL) is a concept I’ve always had in mind for a long time now. As a veteran OOTP player since version 3, I’ve always wanted to a league where I the GM had control over EVERY aspect team. As most start up leagues, they either allow you to draft your rosters, start with default MLB rosters, or start with created teams, with fictional players. Well this league will be different, a different kind of league to attract a different breed of GM. Yes, there will be a creation draft, and yes you will be able to build your team to how YOU the GM want it.<o =""></o>

<o =""></o> Well, here is the twist. In this league, which will have 32 teams, you will be able to select a market, build your own stadium to your specifications. The markets will be “drafted” like you would draft your players. I have picked 32 markets, varying in size and potential. Once we have 32 GM’s you the GM’s by virtue of a draft lottery will get a shot at drafting your market. You will also provide a logo for your franchise and build your stadium to cater your market’s strengths. This way, we will have financial equality as we begin this league. Every team will play on the same financial playing field. Although some markets are bigger then others, to insure those markets can’t flex there revenue muscles and squash the smaller markets, there will be a salary cap in place at 90 mill. There may also be a revenue sharing plan worked out, but I wont institute one unless I along with the league presidents decide its needed. Like I said, we all begin on the same financial playing field. Your decisions as team owner will either positively or negatively effect your situation financially.

If I can generate enough interest in this idea, I will be willing to start up this league, buy the server and the domain, design the site, ect. I am looking for very active, and very experienced GM's who love a good challenge. If interested contact me:

this kinda soudns like what i've done with the town selection in the DoCBA, but then again its' also not.

Maybe i'm jsut misunderstanding what youre trying to do, either way godo luck with your venture
