Found the fix. In your league file delete the faces.dat file. Game loaded no problem after that.

To figure out that specific file had to be deleted would have taken a lot of time and trial and error. I just spent 3 days trying to fix a mess that Windows 10 update caused. Came close to turning my laptop into a frisbee. LOL

Yup i've had a few people who simply deleting the faces.dat file seemed to fix corrupted face pictures and facegens. The other alternative you can attempt if you are getting runtime errors is to update your Visual C++ program. Most of the runtime errors are going to come from out of date or corrupt C++ issues. So keeping that up to date is a good way to try and avoid any runtime errors you might run into.
