The Greatest Player of All Time?

I did a sim from 1901-2025. Imported 1901 as the start season and imported complete history to that point, then used the Random Debut Feature for the rest of the sim. This resulted in guys like Greg Maddux and Joe DiMaggio playing in the 1910s while Lefty O'Doul didn't get drafted until 2009.

Made for some interesting results.

The most interesting of which is High Pockets Kelly, who became the greatest player of all time. So good, in fact, his stats wouldn't even fit on a single screenshot.

Drafted 3rd overall in the 1996 draft, High Pockets Kelly spent 24 seasons showing up for work basically every single day. Other than his 1st season and last season, he only played in less than 152 games once. At the end of the sim, he was the career leader in runs, doubles, homers, RBI, strikeouts and WAR. He holds the single-season record for homers, RBI, SLG and WAR.

The only thing he didn't do well was win it all, accomplishing that only a single time.

His history:

His stats:

Crazily enough, the guy taken #2 in his draft (Keith Hernandez) is the career leader in many of the things Kelly is not, like Games Played, At-Bats, and Hits. Still, even the great Keith Hernandez was no High Pockets Kelly.

He'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. Just a question now of how close to 100% he gets in the vote.

He hit 1182 homers, and was a second baseman? Wow.
