What's the longest hitting streak a player has gotten during a historical sim?

in a OOTP 16 game Nap Lajoie had a 72 hitting streak ... of course, i don't have the game or computer it was on anymore. No one else in any of my games or versions of OOTP has gotten over 42.

I once saw a 77 game hit streak but that was many versions ago.
In 18 the longest so far has been 47 games. Set in 1894 and my current year is 1972. What is the longest hit streak you have seen in ootp 18? |

Ty Cobb 65 games in the HSBL (Note: that would have been when we used OOTP 13 or 14) Can't remember which version this league started with

Bill Madlock had a 40 game hitting streak the very first year of my historical sim starting in 1977 - strangely, at the exact time his team went into the tank (went from 7 games up to 6 out)

HA! Amazing.
In a Texas Rangers one in 2018 Elvis Andrus got to 33 for me.

The record in my EBl, CBF & MLB leagues is 35 games held by a handful of players. In my ABF league Ty Cobb is at around 76 games.

I had a 50-game and a 52 game hit streak going on in 1922...with two players on the same team...at the same time.

I'm in OOTP16 in a (now) 57 year historical random debut sim (1901-1957). I play with the stats output and strategy settings tied to 1984, which avoids the lack of offense in deadball eras (early 20th century to 1919, and 1968ish), and the silly super-ball offense of hitter haven eras (1930s and late 1990s and 2000s). So far only seven players have been able to put together 30+ game hitting streaks:
Carl Yastrzemski, CIN, 37 games, (late 1938 into early 1939) Elston Howard, PHA, 35 games, (1952) Jack Lelivelt, SLA, 32 games, (1928) Pancho Herrera, PIT, 30 games, (1943) Scooter Gennett, NY1, 30 games (late 1908 into early 1909) Bill Virdon, BSN, 30 games (1901) Lonnie Smith, BRO, 30 games (1932) |

In my current Astros dynasty, I traded for Boomer White because I coached him in high school. He starts the first week or so batting around .200 in A ball. Then, he starts hitting. His current streak is at 31 games, but he has a DtD injury that is keeping him sidelined. We will see if he continues the streak when he returns.
