RFA Compensation question

Is there a place *in-game* that details the full rules FHM3 is using for RFA and compensation? Like a chart for compensation or something. I want to try sending an offer sheet but the game says the compensation is different from the charts I find online.

It'll tell you when you make the offer, but there's not a full chart in the game. What are you seeing that doesn't match what you're finding online? It should be the same.

I guess it depends on what chart I'm looking at because I have 4 different ones. I definitely not an expert in this so I may be wrong in my interpretation.

The collective bargaining agreement from 2013 has a table, then afterwards says: "The dollar amounts set forth in the scale outlined above shall be increased on an annual basis at the same percentage rate of annual increase as the Average League Salary, with the first such increase occurring based upon a comparison of the 2014/15 Average League Salary to the 2013/14 Average League Salary."

Which I think this means the compensation chart changes year to year? Does FHM3 simulate this increase ? If so, I should be able to see this so I know what the rules are each year. If not, I need to know what rules are being used to offer contracts intelligently whether it is the ones in the bargaining agreement or from 2016-2017 season

Oh, and FYI, game date is July 2 2017 and I offered a player a contract with an average annual value of $3,365,000. The most recent chart I have says contracts with an annual salary between $1,877,615 to $3,755,233 require a Second-round pick as compensation but FHM3 is stating it is a 1st and a 3rd. I don't really care how realistic the game has the rules set, I just want to know what they are.

Ah, we probably do need to update that for 2016, then, I don't think we made that change this offseason. It doesn't get recalculated in the game - the financial levels in the modern game are relatively static at the moment; we'd like to make them a little more dynamic in the future but that'll have to be done as part of a larger overhaul. Changing single systems like this one to make them variable from year-to-year carries a little too much risk of having unanticipated consequences when other parts remain unchanging.
