that too. Maybe have a drop down list of #'s you want to retire and an option of whether or not future players can or can not wear that #.

This year, as has become my custom, I have successfully sat on my hands until the pre-order phase has passed, difficult as that self-denial has been to maintain. I prefer to pay full price to OOTP Dev as a token thanks for doing for me what I cannot do for myself: develop and provide a baseball simulation that provides nearly endless hours of absorbing entertainment, for which I am enormously grateful. Gotta buy a new laptop first, having dropped the old one and marfed the HD, but heres my public vow to continue the tradition.

Will names or player profiles be associated with the retired numbers? If so, will it be possible to retire the numbers of players who retired in OOTP 14 or earlier? I have three HOF-worthy players on my team right now who may be retired before OOTP 15 is released.

I'd rather have the tedious task of taking control of all teams and retiring #42 than deal with the bug of a lone exception.
I am worried that right now, we will have issues with players on the DL coming back to active roster and given a retired number if their AAA replacement was assigned their old number.
Plus, we still have that non option of the AI assiging players their historic numbers, so Babe Ruth may be on the Red Sox in my replay in 1930 and #3 was retired for Tris Speaker but Ruth may be assigned that number by the programming.

OLD TIME RULE V DRAFT

I was thinking of how to make older Independent Leagues and thought

an option of a check mark of : subject to a Rule V Draft for Major Leagues
and then criteria for a player to kick in, maybe years, maybe stats, maybe ratings

Then under trading with other leagues, a drop down for cash only

Not exactly 100% accurate but good enough where we can see if it does or does not work

Pre-ordered today, I was going to do it on the 6th, but was a bit short of cash. Probably the best £31 (after tax) I'll spend this year though.

The more I think about it, the more I'm looking forward to the new fluid ratings system. I got tired of seeing a bunch of 50/50/50 (20-80 scale) pitchers stuck on my AA team since they just couldn't hack it higher up. A 50/50/50 pitcher (or all-50 anything) ought to at least be a viable MLB backup. I think under the new system they'd be 40/40/40 or something like that.

That would create a nightmare for the scheduling AI, unless there was a way to be prompted to do it manually.

However, rain delays are a cute novelty, but it makes it impossible to use the bullpen option.

Has Markus or anyone mentioned whether or not a new pitcher brought in after a rain delay still needs to be warmed up? How about if your pitcher get's injured?

The bullpen option always gets neglected It needs some TLC.

Make yourself a note to check in next February. That's what us other people who have nearly all versions of OOTP do.

Every year, around November, I say to myself, 'nope, this game is just too much for me...I can't handle it anymore!'. Then the struggle starts with the first murmurs of, 'pre-order up for the new OOTP XX!'. And as usual, AFTER the save money pre-order date...by a few days mind you...I order it. I'm hopeless
