New League Idea.....feedback?

I would like to put feelers out there (insert joke here) for a new league I'm thinking of starting.

We would start w/ 2012 rosters (move Houston to AL West) and going forward, random debut draft classes in June made up of historical players.
Humans would run the AL, the NL would be run by all CPU owners that we could trade with but trading will be set at hardest/heavily favor prospects. The World Series would be 'Man vs. Machine' championship.
100 million salary cap and low max cash so you cant buy your trades.
Full minors, Rule 5 draft, 10/5 veto, refuse minors assignment, 2012 FA compensation, draft lottery system to weed out 'tanking', Low injuries, Low CPU trading, high fatigue (to offset the decreased injuries).

Any takers? Thoughts?

as commish you would have to do all the trading.

GM's can not negotiate trades.

I think teams left on AI (CPU) control can and will trade amongst themselves, but your real life GMs will not be able to negotiate trades with them, unless they have commish level authority.

The AI is really annoying to play against in a human context, because it ensures that one set of human teams will never get to play. But it's an interesting situation for sure. I think it'd probably lose its appeal over time though, because if it's popular more humans will want in and if it's not, it'll just frustrate people with the dizzying array of advantages the AI has against humans especially in online play.

It's a great concept....but it will get boring as previously suggested. Any CPU league is hard to keep up interest....will just turn into a regular league with specific rules overtime, but if thats cool with you, then go for it

Hey Paul,
It's Mark...
Huntington Woods Tycoons in Wild Things.
Sounds like a crazy idea.
Put me down for the Tigers.

not so sure about that payroll cap, though. 7 A.L. teams are already over the cap...the Yanks would have to 'dump' over $100,000,000, and the Angels almost $100,000,000. how could they even do that?
your other crazy league is a lot of fun...so, i'm in.

What advantages does the AI have? We're simming all games, not doing 'live play', so what advantages would it have?

In resetting the sal cap, we would have to recalc contracts for all players and probably pare it down over 3 yrs.
