The applications are in
After extensive sifting we here at the World Baseball Agency have managed to bring down the list of applicants to the 10 players we are going to represent for the length of their careers. They are a diverse group and hopefully they will bring themselves and us success both professionally on the field but also financially.
We decided to retain Dan Hurt as the first of our MLB players but have also selected 9 others So lets take a look the other 9 successful applicants. |

Donnie Green main card and scouting report
The next lad up is Donnie Green. When he hand delivered his application to our Missouri office our scouts just had to check him out to see if he had what it takes. While he will not be our biggest star we still decided he would add to our talent pool nicely.

Juan Campos main card and scouting report
The Mexico office had lots of applications but very few were of the calibre we were looking for. The one that stood out was that of Juan Campos who showed he may have the potential to move from the Mexican League to the Majors if he plays to his potential.

In-Su Chu main card and scouting report
The Korean office only had 1 slot available and found it difficult to choose who to represent. In the end they went for In-Su Chu who looked the best from a strong list of candidates.

Nishikiri Shoda main card and scouting report
The batting options for our Japanese office was more difficult to find than the pitching option. This led to us selecting a candidate that may not have been considered in other years. In the end we went with Nishikiri Shoda as the one to represent with the hope he will be a big star in Japan that may make the move to the MLB if he plays at the top of his game.

Luis Elizondo main card and scouting report
With the opening up of the Cuban league to outside agents along with the chance that players will now be allowed to have their contracts bought by MLB teams we just had to get in on the possible action. The kid we have found to represent does not fit the normal expected Cuban ball player in that he is very out spoken about his views both on the field and also off the field. This may make it more difficult to place him with the MLB teams but we will try once his career gets going in Cuba.

Billy Edwards main card and scouting report
Our final selection for representation is something of a pet project for our west coast team. He is not our normal contact in that he is currently already playing independent baseball in the Pacific League. Billy Edwards should be in the MLB but his disruptive influences both on the field and in his personal life have meant he never got drafted. We will hopefully work with Billy to curb his nastier tendencies and hopefully get him into the big time where he should be.

April 1st 2018
March has been a quiet month for our prospects with not much to do other than to arrange scouting camps for the MLB and Mexican lads so that they can show the scouts their talent ready for their draft.
The Asian and Cuban Players have some time before we need to think about their drafts as they are not until August at the earliest. Billy Edwards has been to the San Rafael Pacifics club house to do some pre-season work outs ready for spring training to start in April. All of the leagues apart from the Cuban league and US Independents have started and here are the standings. MLB Japan Last edited by amead17; 07-01-2018 at 05:34 AM. |

May 1st 2018 Part 1
Still very little to report for the guys we represent. The only real news is that Billy Edwards has started his Spring Training with the San Rafael Pacifics as first choice Centre Fielder. Hopefully he can cement that place down and put up some strong performances that will allow us to promote him to the MLB as a tasty option to pick up for a small fee. He played 5 games and was hitting at an average of .267 from the number 9 spot.
Here are the tables for the Major Leagues from around the world. MLB Japan Last edited by amead17; 07-02-2018 at 12:30 PM. |
