Question from a historical newbie

Okay I'm starting a solo where it's all made up teams, with random entry historical players. I'm doing my initial fantasy draft right now... Theres a 30 year old Carlos Beltran, 26 year old Yogi Berra 36 year old Dennis Eckersley ect. Do players in this mode retire at their real life age? Or is it random?

I'm just trying to see how to build my team.

That's up to you - there's an option in game to have them retire when they did irl, or if left unchecked, they'll play out their career based on normal progression/decline.

Blue I thought in RD that retire due to history did not work? I personally have never tried it, I never use Retire Due to history in any league, it's just something I had read on the boards, I think.

I didn't think it worked in random either. Never tried it though.

Ahh -my bad, didn't see the "random debut" part, so it will be random when they retire. Sorry for the mis-info.
