Player ratings guide
I have been messing around with the player editor and i was wondering if there was a some sort of guide for what all the ratings do. For example the "aging" one. I assume it is how fast age will take effect on a player, 20 meaning he will look like father time in a few months but again i am not exactly sure. Most of the are self explanatory but a few of them i am a little confused
Also how do the potential rating work? I can put it up to 999 and everything else to 20 so i am just wondering exactly how the potential effects the other attributes. Like if i have a guy who has 750 defensive potential what should i expect his avg defensive attributes to look like. I know it probably sounds like a dumb question. A big thanks to the devs of this game i am enjoying the beta immensely and cant wait to see what else you guys have in store. Best $30 i have spent in a long time lol. |

Aging seems to be set to 10 for everyone at this point, which makes sense since that's a later attribute to figure out.

Aging, as it happens, is one of the few attributes there's a set guideline for at this point (most are governed by the target ability/template system at the moment, and will only get replaced by individualized ratings once a) we're certain that weren't not going to make any more changes to what they do and b) I write up formal guidelines for them.)
Basically, 10 Aging means the abilities that are negatively affected by age will start to decline at 25. Very roughly, add or subtract a year to that for every point higher or lower than 10. The aging attribute can and likely will increase over time (and it can also decrease due to a major injury), so most players will probably start declining in their late 20's. But starting the number at the high end of the scale can, for example, let us keep a late-career Chelios from undergoing a ratings collapse in his first season because he's way beyond the normal age where that happens. Or, we can make a Ryan Parent, who's been headed in the wrong direction since his early 20's. |
