I read something about a possible match with Nashville with the A's moving their top farm club to Vegas. I don't think baseball is going to leave Vegas since they are building a new stadium there.

Maybe they'll promote the Potomac Nationals to AAA and put another team in Buies Creek. Probably the simplest solution.

The Brewers will also be in the market for a team in AAA seeing as how the Sky Sox will be moving to A ball. I've read of a possible reunion between Milwaukee and Nashville, but everything's just conjecture at this point.

That would leave the IL and PCL with 15 teams each.

Potomac is moving to Fredericksburg for the 2020 season, so I don't see that happening.

That makes sense, logictically. But I read that the A's are happy in Nashville and don't plan on moving out anytime soon.

From what I read, the Brewers will have a AAA team in the San Antonio Missions, who are moving up from AA.

Everything I've read has....

Washington to Nashville
Houston to San Antonio
Milwaukee to Fresno
Oakland to Las Vegas

I have read that the Rangers are going to go to San Antonio with Round Rock back with Houston. I would think that Fresno would make more sense for Oakland since it's closer than Vegas, so maybe Milwaukee goes with Vegas. One thing for sure, there is going to be some shuffling this offseason.

Yeah you're absolutely right there will be some shuffling. Personally I'd love to see the Brewers AAA affiliate end up being Las Vegas because that looks like it's going to be a top-notch new stadium for the team there.

Milwaukee's new American Association team will be known as the Milkmen (Yours truly won the name-the-team contest):

I almost kinda wonder if Vegas is gonna try to get another minor-league team, or just wait a couple of years for the inevitable MLB expansion.

I can't see the city letting a brand-spanking new ballpark sit idle for that long.

Though I suppose UNLV could make use of it in the meantime.

Well it could be the home of the AAA affiliate of the Portland expansion team

Texas is moving to Nashville which opens the door for Houston to Round Rock. So that leaves Fresno and San Antonio available with Washington and Milwaukee still looking.

I was kinda hoping that Milwaukee would go back to Nashville (that branding is my favorite in all of MiLB) but San Antonio is good too. Actually kinda funny that the AAA market is bigger than the big league market.

Still iffy on the rookie league team now in Colorado Springs though. I feel like a lot of our pitchers wont develop as much due to a (probably) terrible confidence level considering the high altitude almost exclusively favors hitters.

2019 Branding Announcements Take Shape

Seems like the 51s and Missions names are now retired.

Sod Poodles? Boot Scooters? Long Haulers? Seriously?

The only one of them I'd choose would be Bronc Busters. At least that "sounds" traditional.
