International Perfect Game!

This is the second in-game year where I've scheduled a short exhibition series between the MLB and *** champs in the last week of spring training. Just played the first of two games and, well, look what happened! I love that I'll get to have this bit of history in the game, although I had to edit it manually onto his player history page because of the nature of the game. This is the first perfect game, or indeed no-hitter I've gotten in any version of OOTP, although I had Chris Sale go 8 1/3 no-hit in game 7 of the 2016 ALCS.

As with most perfect games, there was a moment of intense drama in the field–in this case Mookie Betts sprinting into the gap in left center, catching a rocket off the bat of Juan Miranda at full extension, then slamming into the wall at full speed.

Bradley in general has been a revelation for me–I acquired him in 2015, brought him up midway through the 2016 season after another starter went down hurt, and over 17 starts he went 12-3 with a 2.24 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 9.3 K/9 and 2.7 WAR. In a full season in 2017 he went 13-9 with a 3.15 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 7.2 K/9 and 3.6 WAR.

This is an exhibition game, so the normal MLB vs. *** talent gap is lessened.

The real question is what you were doing pitching an ace in the last week of ST. Now he won't be rested for a Monday opening day.

Right. Certainly this is nowhere near as impressive as an MLB perfect game, but I got a hell of a kick out of it, especially for a young pitcher.

This is in the last week of ST games (I deleted one and then used an off day to make room for this set, and for the ST games on either side I'm only using the minor-league guys in camp because the team is "in transit"), but at least in this game the autoscheduler has left an empty week between the last game of ST and Opening Day.
