I noticed that, also. That around the early 1910's more steel and concrete were being used. Maybe getting tired of all the fires. Just about every wooden structure I looked into had problems with fires. Some minor. Some major. Some multiple fires.

This is really coming along well. You are definitely getting more detailed in your work.

zappa..

For many years I have used blender and unity. When I saw that ballparks could be created and put into a game I just had to do this. So seeing what Silvam was doing with sketch up I had to learn how that program worked and how the Out of the Park worked. With Silvams technical guidance, it started to happen. Like anything else you just have to dive in, and as you get used to new systems you get more comfortable with it. I do find that once you get used to sketch up, it is much easier to create than blender is, glad I did it. Iam hoping that as this new 3d concept develops in Out OF the Park, the import and use of 3d stadiums becomes even better.

Exactly! I didn't know anything about 3D modeling until I picked up sketch up and just tried it out. Little by little, I picked up techniques.

Now I am happy with the base of stadiums I have created and I can always go back and look for ways to improve them.

My biggest pet peeve now is getting smooth faces in the corners of the stands.
I just cannot seem to get the crowd looking good in most of the corners in my stadiums. Wish there was some technique I could learn to fix that

mmmm...

Silviam....The way I do it is make the crowd into a mesh...and then just put it down, But you are using more detailed crowds, that's a different animal I think......

When you say mesh, I take it to mean texture, right? I already do that, but with my new crowd texture, it has the walkways in it so if there are many triangles in a small corner, it can look messed up.

another reason wood went out

is the technology changed...they figured out how to use steel beams....and concrete forms.....actually the first concrete forms were 2 by 6 ........they hadn't invented plywood yet....in old buildings you can see the lines in the concrete.....

Wow wee. Looks awesome. I'm gonna be reading the ads while I play. lol

This is a park where I'll put extra camera views in. The others you've done, also. Views to show the structures behind home plate. I'm gettin' goosebumps. haha

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but here goes. This park is your best one you've done so far. Seriously. This park is way cool. Fun to play in. Good job, man. 5 stars (out of 5).

Great work man! Come a long way from trying to get the first one to work wouldn't you say!

Making these parks come alive from the rare photographs that are available is really remarkable!
