New Game - Current Day 2015/16

Edmonton Oilers.

Edmonton Oilers History

Stanley Cup Championships = 5.

Points Leaders =
1. Wayne Gretzky 1,669.
2. Jari Kurri 1,043.
3. Mark Messier 1,034.

Goal Leader
= Wayne Gretzky 583.
Assist Leader = Wayne Gretzky 1,086.
Goals Against Avg = Tommy Salo 2.44.
Win Leader - Grant Fuhr 226.
Shutout Leader = Tommy Salo 23.

10 Seasons straight the Oilers have missed out on the NHL Playoffs, it's time for a change, today the Oilers owner Daryl Katz hired Englishman Josh Brady for the job of GM/Coach - on a 2 year contract for 1.7 million dollars.

Expectations for this season is to rebuild and try to make the Playoffs for the first time in 10+ years.

Star Player = LW Taylor Hall. Biggest Prospect = C Connor McDavid. Weakest Link = Cam Talbot (G).

Predictions = Points leader - Ovechkin, Scoring leader - Ovechkin, Assist leader - Drew Doughty, Goals against avg - Price.

I will update with all transactions and trades before the season kicks off.

First piece of business for the season was to upgrade my weakest area (G).

I found trying to trade for the likes of Price, Quick & Schneider were near impossible.

I managed to trade Cam Talbot + three 3rd round draft pics for Semyon Varlamov.

Semyon Varlamov is a 27 year old 4.0A Goaltender who was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 2008/09 season, here he spent 3 seasons not playing much and was traded to the Colorado Avalanche in 20011.

Assist Leaders =Nicklas Backstrom 71, Drew Doughty 67, John Tavares 57.
Goals Against AVG Leaders = Quick 2.09, Lundqvist 2.18, Mrazek 2.20.
Shutout Leaders = Luongo 10, Niemi 10, Quick 9.

Not a shot at you by any means this is your dynasty and great on you for improving the Oilers, but great googly moogly...that trade AI needs WORK...

Flyers - rebuilding. Why would they trade three young core players for Hendricks and three maybes?

Jets - Rebuilding and Trouba is one of their top dman...

Caps and Tampa are in Win now mode, why move their #1 dman/Top wingers respectively for prospects(though that didn't seem to hurt Tampa too much)

Carolina also rebuilding, Faulk is young and that package is poop too.

Again. Not a shot at you, so please don't take it that way. Just surprised at how iffy the Trade AI is.

I agree with you, i think it's borderline awful, they also don't recognise which teams are likely to have a higher pic etc..so every teams number 1 draft pic is worth as much as the other
