I kind of cheated. I booted up ITP (which I still play!) and looked over the rosters and I found him and matched it to Higginson.
ITP was based off OOTP 5 so I knew it was from that era and I vaguely remember that name from Detroit.
From there it was easy to match it against baseball reference.
