Skins question (Help, Markus & Team)

In the old days, when you deleted the skin.bin file, the game would rebuild the file. It appears this is no longer the case. Could you confirm yea or nay?

If it is supposed to be doing this, my Mac version isn't.

If it isn't supposed to be doing this, how can we build our own skins again?

Mind you, the game still recognizes the files and does 'something' along the way...and it works, but lags at startup...but there's no convenient container to distribute...say with the QS I'm working on.

I'm running Windows but the game definitely rebuilds the skin binary file.

Found a short term workaround. Apparently the Mac Steam version will rebuild the skin.bin file. No ideas on why my regular Mac version won't.
