Processing Speed
I'm convinced that the game is great, but ever since being an active player of EHM 2007, around 2007-9, I have tried simulation games like this off an on, but could never sustain playing the game for a long time.
Reason being: Far less free time due to RL concerns, coupled with longer loading speeds. Longer loading times between simulating days use up less of the free time I have, and thus I could never "get into" the game. So, while I am convinced that this is a great game, I need to know how long it takes to simulate a day. I know given different computers its impossible to give figures, but I do not use a "gaming computer". The game would run on a standard laptop that was new in late 2015. Comparatively speaking, if I "activate" the AHL, ECHL,Canadian Juniors, and a couple European leagues, how long does it take to simulate a single day, in comparison to how long it would take FHM 2 (the last game I attempted in the series) to accomplish the same task? |

It varies widely between modes. A small custom league or early historical league will only take a second or so to do a day in midseason; the setup you described would maybe be 5-10 seconds depending on the exact system. Some days where there's a lot of processing to be done (e.g. the switch between seasons on June 30) could be considerably longer. Very roughly, I'd say that's somewhere between half and two-thirds the time the final version of FHM2 took, although some of the speed improvements we've made since then will affect the one-time events more than day-to-day simming.

Thank you, I purchased the game, and find that the processing times have indeed improved. Excellent!

Good news, they'll be even better after the next update, Sebastian's found some ways to improve the efficiency of some of the more processor-intensive stuff.
