Draft Problem
I was wondering if there's anything I can do for a problem I'm having or if this draft is just going to be fubared. Granted this is in OOTP11, but a draft should not be starting with the sixth pick of the 1st supplemental round in any version of OOTP. I can't figure out why it skipped the entire 1st round, and the first five picks of the supplemental round, but it sure is gonna mess up the Pirates for years to come as they had 7 of the top 41 picks. Anybody seen this before or know of a remedy or even a reason for why it might be happening?
Before you ask why I'm playing 11, I did buy 12 and 13, but found I couldn't play the way I like to (couldn't get past 1878 draft in both versions and eventually gave up). I'll still be buying 14 as well, but for now I'm on 11 and loving it except for this silliness. Last edited by actionjackson; 06-09-2013 at 11:32 AM. |

I should note that for the first time in my now 30 year game, I had a Type A free agent sign on Opening Day, rather than during the offseason, and the team that lost him was not awarded the team that signed him's pick or a compensatory pick. Maybe this is where things got borked? I don't know. Suggestions? Comments? Anybody seen this strange phenomenon before? Thanks in advance.

Anyone?...Bueller?
So nobody has seen a draft start in the middle rather than at the beginning in any OOTP version ever? If you have, I'd love to know of any work-arounds you discovered. This is a historical game with a twist: the real names of the players have been covered over with fake names using a random name generator. This is so I have the same talent dispersal as a historical, but I don't know who's who. The work-around that I used for this problem is definitely not ideal. It involves using Gambo-Spritze's (the database I use) draft logic AI to disperse the players in the order they "should" have gone in. Sure wish there was a way to re-order the entire draft. You can re-order the 1st round, but since that had already gone by the boards in my case, I wasn't able to do it, and obviously if the first round had been available this whole problem wouldn't have existed in the first place. Thanks for any insight you can offer. |

I'm currently having the exact same problem. I don't know how to fix it. Did you figure this out?
