How many leaders on a good roster?

Deja Bru said something today on another thread that got me wondering. I don't want to hijack that thread, so I'll ask here.

How many players with High or Very High leadership is a good number to have on a team? Does a team tend to play more consistently with more leaders on the roster, and does it matter if these leader types are everyday players, pitchers, or bench?

My current 25-man active roster has the following breakdown:

VeryHigh = 10 (3 in the lineup, 2 in the starting rotation, 5 in the bullpen)
High = 4 (2 in the lineup, 1 in the rotation, 1 bench player)

I like to have as many as possible, especially if they also have a high work ethic. However, I might be overdoing it.

Anybody have any hard data on it? I know Orcin has built a dominant team, so there's that.

My team in one of my fictional leagues just wrapped up a 128-52 season, while only being 11th in team payroll.

13 players with Very High - 3 SP, 5 RP, 2B+SS+3B, LF, "backup" C (Plays ~1/3rd of games each of last 5 seasons)
2 High - Starting 1B+DH combo
3 Normal - 1 SP, Starting C, Util Inf
4 Low - 1 SP, 1 RP, CF+RF
6 Very Low - 1 SP, 4 RP, 4th OF

So it appears my infield is full of team leaders, and the outfielders are the Terrell Owens-es. The bullpen is exceptionally polar, with giant chunks at either end and nothing in the middle.

I frankly don't know if it makes any difference. However, I like having several guys with normal work ethic/intelligence guys that are "team" guys.
One could argue to a small extent it keeps bench players from griping about playing time.

I look at work ethic and that stuff before high draft picks, but other than that I figure it's reflected in the players' performance somehow. Once in a great while there's a guy (Delmon Young? some guy that used to be on the Nats) that is basically described as a clubhouse cancer. Even then I don't worry about it if my team is bad off.
