How valuable is a experienced manager?
Looking for some veteran OOTP perspective here.
How valuable have you found managers to be inside the game? For example if you could hire a new manager who had basically the same Relationships with the team (Player Development Influence & Player Relationships) would it be worth replacing your experienced manager so you could have more control over strategy? In my league I have a manager who seems to be doing very well but wants a big boost in salary on his next contract and is severely limiting me in what adjustments I can make in overall strategy .. whereas a fresh inexperienced manager would let me control everything. Just wondering on you all's game experience in this area. Thanks in advance. |

For me personally, I don’t really care about the experience level of the manager. Just look for one that can develop players and maintain decent relationships with the team. Inexperienced managers are good to me because of their lower salary and you can take control of the strategy.
