Historical Managers

Is there any way to import historical managers in a game or edit a manager's historical record if you just create one?

Trying to bring in a manager who isn't active when the game starts on a historical game.

Go to the FA Page - click on the "Personnel" Tab. top right hand side, click on the "Actions" menu - from the dropdown select "Create Fictional Manager"

Once he's created, right click and select "edit". You can then change his name and other attributes.

Yes I know this part. THe question is whether there is a way to add his historical record.

That's a good question and I'm sure there's a database of all the names out there but that's the easy part. A players stats can inform us whether they hit with power or not which will inform his ratings but what do we have for manager's? A high W%? That could be indicative of a good manager or it could be that he often was coaching really good teams. Or a little of both. It's hard to put a metric as well on the things the game measures, such as favoring prospects over veterans, or OBP vs power or whether he's open to interference from the GM or intolerant of it. What sort of dataset is out there that, if downloaded, would code Billy Martin as a hot tempered guy who argued with umpires and liked to use the suicide squeeze? I think someone would need to write a db for this that's OOTP specific, with not just personal info but also values for all the ways we evaluate managers. Don't get me started on the myriad of coaches too.

I'm not saying someone hasn't done it but I've never seen it.
