The Auburn Doubledays took a big hit in the AH as we had to quick sell Jose Ramirez for 4,000 since nobody would even quick buy him for 5,000. He was on the team in the beginning of PT2.0 as a perfect 3B, even contended for MVP honors in the early going. However, like some of the MLB Live players, the gamble did not pay off as he is currently not good enough to play in the Perfect leagues. Doubledays had to pony up for PEAK AROD to be the starting 3b. No matter how AROD plays, he won't become as depleted as Jose became.

Fighting with the IC Breakers in the division. A team we faced in the playoffs last season and luckily won. I hope there is no revenge factor in this game?

<- This royal idiot dumbass here played all of this Perfect League season with just four starting pitchers because Mel Harder wasn't actually listed in the rotation, just rotting on the roster.

You can't say it actively *harmed* Johnson (2.46), deGrom (2.79), and Seaver (2.91). But Patrick Corbin's ERA went over eight last night.

I'm sorry, Pat.

We friends again?

Please stop crying.

I suck. Terrible noob.

Just tell Harder he's off double-secret probation now and he will be allowed to pitch.

I can't sell a single gold card anymore. Everybody set for this year?

Nor can the Raccoons sell their unwanted diamond Severino. The market has been like glue all week…...

Yes, the market is very slow. People must hanging on to their points in anticipation of missions. I have picked up a couple of good deals from desperate sellers.

Yea, on my money team I only sell duplicates period. Well, I did sell a couple high end cards I replaced but that's it.

Yea, maybe it is hoarding PP for the now announced collections. I've been prepping for that all along but that makes sense.

Yep, market has seemed slower than usual lately. Interesting to speculate as to why...I've been trying to sell a 91 Don Newcombe all week with no luck.

The Frogs haven't been able to get anything going in P421 this week. After a brutal early schedule, the winning percentage hasn't rebounded as I'd hoped as the schedule has eased up. The Frogs are currently in 4th place at 60-67, 26.5 games out of the division and 11 games out of the wild card. Frustrating that the team has once again been placed in a division that will produce both wild card teams.

I was able to snag an 89 Hugh Duffy for 14K PP. Not really a huge deal for most teams probably, but Duffy fits my team's strategy to a "T." I was also happy with the price as I was all set to pay 17K, but then an auction for 14K appeared right then for which I was able to win it.

I am in a silver League this year where my team is 67 - 60 and I lead the Wild Card by a game and a half. It is quite simply the most competitive league with the highest amount of parity I have ever seen. No team is below .440 and no team is above .620. It is going to be very fun anybody has a chance even the worst team in the league

Yea, it sounds like a tight race, those are fun. My Gutter Cats are also in a tight race to follow on Saturday.

Raccoons remain hovering around .500 at 66-68 in Perfect. They were on the faint edge of a wild card race for a while, but are now 6 1/2 out and don't look like they can even make it interesting.

The Rebels remain completely stuck, waiting for a bus that will never come. 53-80 in Silver, probably heading for relegation.

In Iron, the Accountants are five games out in their division, but hold a lead of *18 1/2* games in the wild card race. Yeah, that's what I wanted. My .654 crew getting squeezed out, 2-1, by the Duesseldorf Power Tigers in the wild card fiasco…

And, yeah, the only thing selling on the market are Iron Unsung Heroes; I usually have no trouble getting rid of those, but I am also not the joker that has a full army of them up for 9,999 / 10,000 for a while now.

I didn't check in on the Raccoons for a day and found they had gone 24-3 for August so now they're up to 95-38 .714. The SPs are still having an off-year (5th in ERA when they've been 1st or 2nd in previous years), but the offense really came around.

Last I had checked they were hitting .262, but now they're up to .281 and are 2nd in R. Willie Keeler has really helped since I added him. His 162 G AVG would include 144 R, 25 HR, 91 RBI to go along with 230 H. The power is a bit of a surprise.

Well, the Accountants had 2.5k in hand this morning, and rather than looking for more turds to never turn for a profit, I upgraded my outfield with 1984 Chili Davis (83) and Kevin Kiermaier (75). These are getting added to 1950 Hoot Evers and 1970 Rusty Staub on the corners. Kiermaier does not come with a rating at LF/RF, but that card could be the long-term backup outfielder, so it's probably worth the hurt of levelling him.

And with the rest of the fortune I drove the price on a Dom DiMaggio card that I blamed for ruining my business. Can't get rid of your wares? Buy more of them so you are the only one offering!

Edit: My colorful Excel table says total profits from sales for the Accountants are 5,230 PP, plus 2,029 PP in market values above purchase prices for cards currently glued to me like wet hair on soap. I hear IFRS demands you show those in your statements (German law forbids showing unrealized profits like those), so I will boldly claim I made 7,259 PP from trading on a team started last Monday. In the same time they made 15,710 PP from achievements.

Top 5 PP earners in team history:

1st - 1941 Dolph Camilli - 1,441
2nd - 1950 Hoot Evers - 1,234
3rd - Live Yoenis Cespedes - 962
4th - Future Touki Toussaint - 948
5th - Live Jung-ho Kang - 883 (since sold)

The Colonels have clinched their division at 102-41 and will be the #2 seed in the playoffs. I finally feel like the team is balanced, ranking second in both runs scored and runs allowed to the #1-seeded team (they are 117-26 but I just took 3 of 4 from them).

The #2-ranked starting pitching is again led by ace Curt Schilling (18-7, 2.28, 231Ks) who will be a strong candidate for Pitcher of the Year and the triple crown. I re-acquired 100 Carl Hubbell in mid-season to be the #2 starter and he is 8-1 with a 2.09 ERA. The bullpen ranks second with three stoppers (Sutter, Hrabosky, Moore) splitting 47 saves.

The offense this season has revolved around Willie Mays, having his best season at .309/.356/.492 (5 WAR). After much tinkering, I have discovered that Babe Ruth (leading the team with 24 HR) wants to bat third and play left field. So be it. Everyone else fall in around the Babe. Hank Aaron has taken over the cleanup spot and is handling it quite well with 89 RBI to lead the team.

I like my chances for a good playoff run this year. Maybe I will finally get that Perfect Leagues badge.

Number 2 spot seems better than number 1 at times in this game. The division winner with the 3rd best division winner record is generally weaker than the wildcard.

Good luck

I feel bad for Battery Park City in Perfect 413. He's chasing me and I play a tanker in a four game series....he's sitting all his diamonds and playing silvers.....manager is wermzer. I reported it. It's really not fair to the other players.

It's not been the best of seasons for any of my teams. The YakAnglers are all but done, I think they are 4 or 5 games out of the 2nd wildcard with 6 games to go. My "big" addition, 89? Jeff Bagwell, has been a tremendous flop. Hitting low .200s with 1 HR. I did get Diamond Severino and Diamond Paddock in one pack. Also a CF Robles. Got pretty sick of seeing the same old cards on the AH, so of course I pull those same guys.

The Marathoners are at last check 1 game up for the 2nd wildcard. My pitching has been really rough and no of them can get going. I pulled a 96 Bill Freehan and a 91 Jose Ramirez. Ramirez went straight to the AH.

And my Miners are hanging in there but it's not very likely they pull it off. I believe they are 2 games out and playing barely above .500. Just not much I can do with this team unless I try to get lucky with packs. Not much of a chance to pull a Cardinal diamond but at least I might be able to sell someone for points.

It really wouldn't be bad to have Sunday off.

The Fighting Frogs seem to have lost their fight. lol

On the heels of a playoff berth last week, this week in P421 has been totally forgettable. The team is 69-88 and just snapped a 9-game losing streak. Somewhat alarming is the team's penchant for late season swoons (7-18 this September) because it happened last week as well.

At least with the team being clearly out of the playoff picture there's been a good amount of training going on. Have to get back in the lab and press all the right buttons for next week hopefully.

It's too bad that the auction house is totally devoid of buyers aside from re-sellers snapping up rock bottom prices because it makes roster reconstruction more difficult.
