Marathoners have taken a 3-2 lead with some outstanding pitching by Hank Aguirre (8 IP 2 H 0 R) beating Severino 2-0. Game 5 seen Steve Busby matched 99 Chris Sale pitch for pitch, both allowing 1 run, but in the bottom of the 10th Steve Sax ripped a single for a walk off win. Really wished I'd watched that replay.

Now for that LOOOOONG Hour wait. Not sure if I'll make it. Game 6 match up looks like my 88 Red Faber against either 91 Carrasco or 82 Mussina.

With Brooklyn losing their WS in 6, that confirms a title-less day for me. All three teams made a run, and all three found confounding ways to throw it away. Almost makes me wish I didn't make the playoffs with any of them.

EXPECTATIONS FOR 2028
New York (Silver) - Avoid relegation. 70 wins should do it.
Brooklyn (Gold) - Make the playoffs. 90+ wins even with the (hopefully) eventual sale of 100 Gooden.
Tri-State (Silver) - Push for a Wildcard. 82 wins bare minimum.

3-3 thru 6 games in the WS. Going on the road with Sutton vs Schilling for game 7.

Down to the wire. Game 7 WS in silver for my Nationals after being down 3-1. I switched my pitching around for his ballpark to get the advantage for games 6 and 7 at home. Worked like a charm. All hands on deck for the World Series game 7 baby.

Too bad that you did not make it further.

The team from your side of the league (American league) that made the finals actually lost 4 of the 6 games you played them.
Good luck next season.

Nice to see your pitcher win the Golden Glove award.

On to game 7 for the Marathoners. Red Faber pitched well for 6 innings but the wheels fell off in the 7th. We lose 6-2.

And what a game 7 it was! Going into the bottom of the 9th leading 6-3, the BigBoi Choi score 2 runs and have the bases loaded when Howard Johnson strikes out looking! Go Crazy Folks! Go Crazy!

2nd Championship for the Marathoners!

Game 7 goes to the Direwolves, nice postseason run regardless. Bullpen couldn't nail it down in the 8th.

I had to go and sleep before the WS last night - left Hide Scores on to watch whatever the last game was this morning....

.....we lost, and it was Game 7 Had two shots at home after being 3-2 up, couldn't make it happen.

Boy though, what a ride!

Coney Island lost in the World Series in seven games. They held a 3 games to two lead and just couldn't seal the deal. Anti climatic after coming back from 3 games down to reach the series.

Overall a good season for the Warriors, thankfully a new season in P409 starts in less than 3 hours so we'll start it up again and chase a championship.

Expectations change throughout the day. When you get past the opening round, you become ambitious and demand a championship. When all three do that and can't get the job done when it matters, that's still a poor effort.
