a question...
hi all, i'm just curious if anyone can give me a bit of advice. i'm in the beginning stages of starting up a new ootp league, and i'm wondering if i should leave all the teams as they are (with rosters intact), or is it better to reset all the rosters and have a draft?
any opinions you all could give me would be greatly appreciated!

I personally like initial drafts a lot, but they usually take a long time (maybe 3 hours/day for 3-6 days) and are a lot of work. It helps if a lot of the owners know the game pretty well, as that can speed things up and makes the selections more fair. A compromise to make an initial draft less work and less time consuming is to have a shorter live draft (10 rounds or so) and autodraft the rest. Nothing wrong with using the intact rosters either. It's easier to set up the league, though the disparity in team quality can be great.

If you do use default rosters, a good idea generally is to set all revenue streams for all teams to the same ammount. Thus if someone takes over a team with a lot of high cost, high talent players, they will have to trade some of their players to make sure they dont lose money.
