Complete Malfunctions

I have had troubles loading saved games for the past few weeks. I was getting a document error saying files are from an older version. I tried to adjust a few things from other threads and had no lasting luck.
I am playing on a stand alone version from the website downloads so I decided to delete the game completely and try to download it again. The new download acquired errors during download and now will not even open and crashed during the startup menu. This is extremely frustrating and I would really appreciate an answer as I have tried directly messaging the developers and also posting in a few other threads. I genuinely enjoy this game and look forward to future versions. I just do not want to wait until spring for the new release if there is something that can be done to fix my current situation.

It definitely sounds like there's something going on with your system which is interfering with the game and causing some errors.

It would be easiest for me to help you if you can fill out a support ticket and submit a message there (see my sig for a link).

Basically, the first step will be to get the new download of the game working and then deal with the other issues later.

Since you're getting errors when downloading, try the download using a download manager as that will protect the download from getting corrupted if it pauses and then tries to resume.

I've used free download manager myself and had good success (http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/) but a Google search should show you plenty of other free download managers as well. If you're on a Mac, then you might want to try Folx GO instead (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/folx...36584830?mt=12).

See if that gets you through the download process and if you still need a hand after that, let me know!
