Bone head move recently. My second baseman was 35 and I signed a new guy when he was injured who was hitting well with better D. So I cut my starter after the end of the season. I didn't check the leader boards though.
I cut my team's highest average guy and the winner of the American Association (1885) batting title. There is something to be said for cheaper youth but that was boneheaded!

I may edit the manager of the year award I just won after winning the American.

I feel you, I didn't resign a 42 year old infielder after the season and my fan interest plummeted. I want to scream at the fans that he wafted a 3yr deal and without raising ticket prices this just wasn't going to happen.
