Question: Sick Players
I have found this by accident while trying to give my 19th century league players Tuberculosis, Cholera and Small Pox.
I added these injuries and ran about 4 seasons, checking the injury reports for every team at the end of each season. However, not only were my diseases not listed, but the players with the cold and flu were not found either. Is there another listing for players with a cold or flu, or does it just adversely affect their streaks for awhile and therefore not appear as an injury? A cold and flu are both fairly innocuous. The injuries I added worked, so I just have to copy an abdominal muscle injury and change it to Coughing Up Blood--doctor suspects TB and give him a chance to have both a season ending as well as career ending injury. So, he's injured while sliding and comes up coughing blood. Last but not least, can the max limit of the injury be set higher than 255? If so, I would like to have a serious injury that could last for anywhere from 90 to 1000 days. In the 19th century before modern medicine, I doubt they would know if a player's career was over right after the game. He might go home that winter and just not be able to throw anymore. |
