Rising Star League - Fictional, Potential Only League moves to OOTP15
The Rising Star league, having just concluded our 30th online season, are making the move to OOTP15 and are looking to fill two open spots while we transition.
I've run the RSL since creating it in 2008, and we just put the finishing touches on our 30th online season, which ended in dramatic fashion when a team overcame, for the first time ever, a four-games-to-none deficit in the best-of-nine League Championship to take the title. Hopefully that farewell to OOTP14 is a sign of the excitement yet to come in OOTP15. We are beginning the offseason later this week, and I'd like to fill a couple of our open GM spots in the meantime. The RSL is a fictional league with fictional teams and fictional players. It uses a potential-only ratings system, so actual talents are hidden. Neither the scouting nor the coaching systems are used. We sim four days a week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) during the regular season and nearly once a day during the offseason to keep things moving. This league has been around a long time, we've got an extremely loyal group of core guys, and as we transition into a new age in the league it's the perfect time to jump on board. While I'm always open to players of any experience level joining up, I will say that both our openings are for some down-on-their-luck franchises, and both are probably looking at lengthy rebuilds. League Homepage: Home The Open Teams: Minneapolis - Dreadful season last year for Minny as a once-proud franchise falls victim to neglect and old age. Thankfully, the Vikings managed to secure the #1 pick in the upcoming draft, but any new GM is looking at a lot of work to dig the team out of their current hole. Seattle - If you like Starting Pitching, boy will you hate Seattle. Worst pitching in the league last year, and doesn't exactly project to be any better next season. With only about 20% of their budget for next season spoken for, this team will need to have a great free agency period if they want to win any games.
