In historical player salaries evolve over time. Why not the option in the MLB quickstart as MLB salaries are going up.

Do you know how much they'll go up in the future?

The ability is in OOTP now to adjust financials. Going into the future I think this is something you'd have to do manually since you can't program a game to predict the future.

That's what I do anyway, adjust them up a bit every 5 yrs.

How do you adjust yours? i was thinking of raising the top salary by 2 - 5 % per year but havent decided yet. I have several more years to go til i get past 2013 in any of my main leagues.

Well, irl it goes up a tiny bit every year, but I just make a 3% increase every 5 yrs. I'm sure it's more irl, but for my way of playing and financial system, 3% every 5 works well. You kind of have to experiment, do some math with a calculator and see what the numbers look like at various % increas rates. Find the one that works for your style of financial setup and run with it.

For what it's worth, in real life the average salary of a major league player has gone from $1,119,981 in 1996 to $3,213,479 in 2012. That works out to an average annual growth rate of 7% over that period. MLB average club revenue has grown from $64,685,179 in 1996 to $226,933,333 in 2012. That works out to an average annual growth rate of 8.3% over that period.
