Historical Sim - Deleting Leagues

I wanted to streamline the minor leagues in my historical sim by having 1 minor league team per level and having just 4 levels. In my league setup, before importing the players which i include the include historical minors, I deleted all of the extra leagues and made the other setup changes. When I imported the players, I noticed some teams had 0 players some of their minor league teams. Is that because I deleted the team they would have been assigned to?

that may be, but also i found in some tests i did back in early March, affiliated minor league teams did not get any players (or very few) until after Spring Training was done and the major leagues flushed out what players they wanted on their rosters first. So that may be going on?
