In an effort to make my league with fictional players in the first year then dribble in real major leaguers I created a real ML league. And it looked like all the original players were fictional players, which I want. It has gotten to the first year draft pool (in may) and it again looks like all players are fictional as I don't recognize any of the names.

I checked the box for use random rookies from all eras on the options screen in league setup. But not sure that is doing anything. So what exactly does that check box do.
Also what does the automatically import historical rookies do in this case?

I started my season in 2012 if that matters.

You want Automatically Import Historical Rookies checked along with Import players from all eras (along with Amateur Draft if you want them drafted) if you want historical players and players from any year. If you don;t want players from any year uncheck that. Problem is now you have to wait until the Preseason to make any changes. But you can still schedule a draft prior to the start of Spring Training or Regular season then again in May or June of the following year.

Do i need to have anything in the database field? Or does blank, just let it default to the regular stats folders to get random debut to work?

Database path should be that of OOTP stats or whichever other DB you use.
If you haven't changed it , it should show up for OOTP 13.
