Hey guys,
I've been trying to figure this nameset thing out since a week before the game was available. I'm an idiot when it comes to doing things correctly on the computer, so if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it. I know that Battists is unbelievably busy right now so he can't help yet. I've been bugging him plenty. I'm trying to create a league in Israel and made (improperly I'm sure) first and surname sets of Hebrew/Jewish names. I can't figure out how to get them set up properly even with the amount of help I have been given. Malleus showed the way in a post but it looks like there's a nation ID needed and all this other stuff. Also, I don't even know what folder I need to put them into or anything. I guess if anyone is willing to take a look at them and set them up correctly for me I have no problem sending the files over. I have all the names in two seperate excel files that I could think of set up the way I thought they should be. Thanks |

3 key files are names.txt, first_names.txt, and nations.txt Make your Hebrew name set #39. In the first_names.txt and names.txt, delete all names that are in set #39, which would be the US historical names. Sharon,4,39 Begin,1,39 Here is an example for last names. Sharon would be used four times as often as Begin. Arik,5,39 Benyam,2,39 Here is an example for first names. Arik would be used 2.5 times more often than Benyam. 94,Israel,Israel,ISR,Israeli,3,2,0,75,17,25,, Here is the current Israel in nations.txt. See the 0? That's where the ethnicities start, right at the third number. Israel is currently set to use 75% of US names and 25% of Arab names. example change to: 94,Israel,Israel,ISR,Israeli,3,2,39,70,17,20,0,8,1 3,2 This will give you 70% Hebrew, 20% Arab, 8% American, and 2% Russian. Of course, you can make that stuff up to suit yourself. |
