New Quickstarts to Fix St. Louis Problem and Missing Historical Drafts

A couple of new bugs were easily fixable with a different quickstart, so instead of waiting until Friday's post-release patch, here's a workaround for anyone who wants to start with St. Louis and can't, and/or wants drafts in their historical league and isn't getting them:

Download that file and extract it into your \Users\(username)\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 2014\data\quickstart_games directory (PC) or User/"username"/Library/Application Support/Out of the Park Developments/Franchise Hockey Manager 2014/data/quickstart_games/ folder (Mac). They'll have to overwrite the two exist quickstarts in those locations

You'll have to start a new game for it to work.

If you don't want to play as the Blues or in historical with drafts turned on, the file won't change anything for you.

Although I don't need this fix, I just wanted to say how awesome it is for you to fix this problem so fast. Even though it is only a temporary fix, having it the SAME day as the release of the game shows how dedicated you are to ensure a good product. I for one am glad I made the decision to purchase this. Well done.

Not to mention it's way past their working hour... and if it isn't... yikes.

Thanks for the quick fix. I'm heading out on a vacation Thursday and normally play in historical mode so this will let me pass the time on my flights!

I don't have OOTP Dev in my App Support folder.

Edit: Nevermind. Looked in the wrong Library. Continue on, haha. Thanks for all your hard work guys.

There are 2 Library folders in OS X, Jeremy. Go to the Finder and hold down the Option key when you click on the Go menu. You'll see a Library folder that's otherwise hidden. Follow the path Jeff describes from there.

The 1.0 download? No, you have to download this separately.

I'm trying to play a game as the Blues after downloading the fix.. I keep getting an error and the game closes.. do I need to play it as a quickstart game rather than a "new" game?

Yeah, I am having the same problem. But we Blues fans are used to frustration....

It seems that Alex Pietrangelo is missing from the Blues. I know there's a contract situation, but I would think he should still be there.

Yeah he's a free agent... I tried to sign in in the KHL but he was having none of it

Free agent, but NHL rights set to the Blues. Best way of handling his current situation, putting the RFA's on their own teams with no contract means the computer generates ones for them, and that was causing unrealistic cap issues for some teams.

I having troubles with this file, can't even play the Historical game anymore as it is saying invalid database Verison.Also I am using a Mac

Draft appears to be non existant still even after this patch for me.

All 17 and 18 year olds are on the open market.
