How to get just the name file you want
I was searching this morning for a way to add the Irish, English names etc. into my U.S. file
If you want to have a diverse name file follow these steps 1. Back-Up Your first name text file to a folder 2. Open your first_name.txt file 3. Go to http://www.editpadpro.com/download.html and get a free demo that allows you to alphabetize a list. 4. Along the top of the edit, go to the extra tab. That's where you will find the alphabetize option. Copy and paste your home country and whatever country's first names you would like to add to it. 5. Copy and paste back to an empty txt folder, and hit replace to change all of your numbers to the right nation's code. I will give you my example. I added the Irish first names (number 18) into the number 0 or American list. Then I hit replace all the 18s with 0 and voila, I had one master list. 6. Place this list back in your edit pro page. (It sounds complicated, but it is not.) Select the remove duplicate lines feature and you should be good to go. Remove your home country from the OOTP first name list and add your new names in their stead. I hoped this helped someone else, Arlie |
