Has anyone ever seen a photo of Don Dillard as an Atlanta Brave? His BBR trade history indicates he was dealt to the Mets on April 5 of 1966, which means he should have been in camp during any and all spring photo sessions. But have not seen a team photo that includes him, nor has one ever surfaced.

I suppose that most of the time in these threads, people are looking for tough-to-find players.

But sometimes I just can't find a really good shot of a common player that I need.

So would anyone have any nice vault-quality photos of Willie Horton from the 1972-1976 period? Thanks for the help! (I like non-headshots best)

Not many in fact. This one, I think, comes from a scan I made, years ago, of a 2000 (somewhere) Topps Archives card.

The quality of this photo is horrible, but it will document Dillard as a Brave. It comes from the Richmond Times Dispatch of March 27, 1966. He was wearing an Atlanta Braves uniform, but at that point, had been expected to start the season with the Richmond Braves.

My personal opinion would be that it's a photoshopped deal, though I can't be certain without seeing a larger version. That said, Bob does have access to some images that none of the rest of us have seen. And we do know that Joe was photographed by Topps as a Met, as his capless '69 Twins card certainly appears to be from Shea. But, if its a Topps image, it's not one that's been released through their eBay sales. Most of us are making do with the horrible Brace or creating our own. Be it photoshopped, Topps, or something else entirely, I do not believe that image has ever appeared anywhere "in the wild" (as is said).

But I'm more than happy to be wrong about that, if someone knows something I don't.

This photo of Hibbs is from baseball-birthdays. I think it shows Hibbs with the Santa Barbara Dodgers of the California League. If you use Google Images, you should be able to find Hibbs easily in a California Angels uniform.

This photo of House shows him with the Milwaukee Braves. He had joined them in their spring camp in 1964. The photo is from the Palm Beach (FL) Post of February 24, 1964.

Joe Hamende was a non-roster invitee to spring training with the 1968 St. Louis Cardinals. This photo came from the website of the Springfield (IL) Sports Hall of Fame. There was also at least one photo of Hamende in a Cardinals uniform in the Topps Vault. I don't know the index number for it, as I picked up the photo from eBay.

Here is Contreras with the Reds during spring training 1970. I've had these for more than five years and can't remember the source.

The photo on the left shows Andrens with the Alaska Goldpanners, a summer collegiate league team. The photo is from the Fairbanks (AK) Daily News-Miner of Dec. 27, 1969. The article reports on Andrens as a Goldpanner alum.

The photo on the right shows Andrens with the Asheville Tourists. He is receiving the National Associationo Silver Glove Award as the top fielder in the league. The photo is from the Asheville (NC) Citizen-Times of Aug. 31, 1970.

What Baseball-reference doesn't tell you about Andres is that he is from Los Angeles, and attended the University of Southern California.
