Save Game corrupted
This has happened to me 3 different times now, but when I go to load my game I get the message that says my file cannot be loaded because it is from an earlier version. Then the next message says it cannot be loaded because the file has been corrupted. Am I doing something wrong? Is there anyway to get this season this has happened on back? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

post in tech support. they can sometimes look over a file and see if they can fix.
something to do first: go to the .lg folder for your league. copy it somewhere before doing anything i suggest, so it has a backup. now, go into "auto-save" directory and copy those files to the main .lg directory.. it will copy over files. then try to re-load. (there are new folders that may be worth investigating, from what i saw in patches for this release.. if you see another directory with those files in it, rinse and repeat with each set of them -- somethign about out of memory saving?) that will be the last manual save or auto-save. so you may lose some time, but at least it will be mostly there. this is likely something local, if not a bunch of similar threads. rhetorical: what are you doing after closing down the program? anything consistently? like shutting down immediately etc. i mention these things, because it may have been an incomplete writing of the data if a shutdown was forced or the process ended prematurely, etc... "out of memory" somethign or other... look for this setting. from .33 patch notes: - Added an option to disable the Out Of Memory Auto Save + Close protection look into toggling that setting and see if that helps. if enabled, disable it... if disabled, enable it etc... try disabling any real-time AV software while you play (or, if possible add exceptions for ootp20.exe to be ignored)... also make sure to run ootp20.exe as "administrator." you can make that the default in the shortcut properties or in the ootp20.exe file properties.
just devil's advocate suggestions.. may or may not help, but worth the try. from above: patch note may be relevant: - Added an option to disable the Out Of Memory Auto Save + Close protection look into toggling that setting and see if that helps. if enabled, disable it... if disabled, enable it etc... |
