What a fantastic 1965 season that is now history. Come see who won it all...
- What six teams punched their ticket to the post season? - Who slugged 41 long ones? - Which club signed twin sluggers in the offseason? Special note: All team uniforms have been slightly updated. Click on the Uniform Timeline link to see them. Also, all teams now play in 3D parks instead of 2D. I'm using selected 3D ballparks that are included with the game. (All of which I've slightly edited to match my fictional teams.) You can visit each park by clicking on the Ballpark Tours link at the site. Enjoy.... Stars-Summit game 1 link is incorrect. Points to the Blue Sox-Excelsiors game 1.
Your ballparks are awesome. The Blue Sox park has the logos of all of the teams in his circuit on the front of the upper deck? Awesome. And loving the new unis, too. |

Finally took some extra time to look at the 3D possibilities and settled on these selected parks. Most of them are from OOTP18 and a few from 17 because they are the easiest to mod. The parks in OOTP19 look great but do not lend themselves to easy customization. |

What did you use to edit the ballparks?

First, I used the following site to convert the stadium and advertisement webp files to png files...
https://image.online-convert.com Next, I used photoshop elements to edit the png files. Finally, I used the same site to covert the files back to webp files. Worked like a charm. Always remember to make backups first. |

Your league has been an inspiration for me since the day i discovered it, around 2004 i guess. I have been a fictional league addict since then, although i sometimes play real teams and players.
Congrats to the Stars, although i hoped the Blue Sox would win the series! |

The Metro League is a marvelous creation.
I thoroughly enjoy it... a great concept and great graphics. It takes me back to the Golden Days of Baseball of my youth. I love the simplicity of your nicknames and jerseys. The Metro League is what modern-day baseball should be. I would love it if MLB went to a short 100-game schedule and played games during the warm time of the year... World Series played in 20 and 30-degree October weather is not for me... nor games in April and May. I don't care for all of the uniform variations of MLB... some of them are quite ugly... and all just for the almighty dollar. Games are also ridiculously too long, too. I wish they would go to a 3-ball 2-strike count... this would shave an hour or more off the length of a game... a batter would go to the plate with a 1-1 count... fouled third strikes would be a strikeout. This would really create more action on the field and make baseball interesting again like it was in the wonderful 50s. Sorry, DreamTeams… I'm just an old codger and I occasionally go off on a cantankerous tirade. Last edited by Eugene Church; 09-22-2018 at 07:49 PM. |

What a thrilling '65 season! Results are up and posted.
-Post-season was a blast. Who took the whole enchilada? -How did the rookie 'Splash Twins' perform in Cape City? -Which starting pitcher shattered the season wins record? -Finally another HOF inductee. Well deserved. -Loads of offseason movement. Teams trade several aging stars. -More.... |

Always great to have the latest Metro Leagues report, Jon - but I've spotted this week's "deliberate mistake"! In the reports for Round 1 of the play-offs, the summary of the Spiders-Stars series is repeated for the Perfectos-Solons! shame the Cyclones couldn't quite go all the way, I'm sure all the neutral fans would have been pulling for them.

That IS strange. Just checked again, then refreshed the page, and it's still duplicated!

Have no idea what's going on guys. But, it shows up fine for me. Even fired up my laptop and it's correct, also.

The internet is weird. My links are working. This may be a combination of a propagation thing and the way the browser works. You guys might try doing a hard refresh.

Weird. I'm just glad reds1 showed up, or I'd start thinking I was hallucinating! Re-tried this morning, both following the link in your sig, Jon, and going direct to the Metros Leagues website, and the same issue is still present.

game_box_673 game_box_674 game_box_675 The links for the Metro Series should be... game_box_690 game_box_691 game_box_692 game_box_693 game_box_694 Have no idea how they're working for some and not others. |

Nothing you can do. i'm pretty sure its a browser thing. i've seen this happen in online leagues. The commish will announce that a new file is available. And someone will try to download it, before it has propagated in their area. Because your browser "thinks" it has the latest file. It will not try to load the fully propagated files. Even if you try a normal refresh. You have to do what is called a hard refresh.
To put it in normal situation. If i tell you that i am going to put a book in a cabinet at 10:00. And you look in that a cabinet for a book at 10:00:01 and the book is not there. Then i come put the book in the cabinet at 10:00:30. You ask me for the book. i tell you that it is in the cabinet. You say, no it isn't, i looked. (This is like the browser remembering that it already looked for the file.) i say, yes it is, i put it in there at 10:00 look again. You looking again is what a "hard refresh" does. NOTE: i used the example of a book. But that isn't correct either. Because files aren't propagated (i hope i'm using that correctly, the techies could tell you better) all together like a book. It is closer to loading it line by line. i'm sorry i'm not better at explaining it. But there is little you can do on your end. The problem is we don't know when a file is fully propagated. It happens at different times, depending on where you are on the 'net. You could try re-uploading the files. And waiting several hours before you announce that the new files are there...
