Maximum player salary?

Is there a way to set the maximum salary a player can get? I see that the minimum player salary can be changed, but I don't see an option for a maximum.

any reason why there should be a maximum salary for players ??? there isn't one in real life so why should there be on in the game.

Well, the game let us customize a lot of stuff and have included a lot of options that do not exist "in real life" (promotion/relegation, for example).

I want a universe closer to the NHL, where there is a hard cap and where players cannot earn more than a certain percentage of the cap. That's where a maximum salary would come into play.

in an indirect way you do control this... you can't type in a value somehwere, but relative to how the financial system works it will always be relative to money supply and distribution.

if fairly default, you could probably assume a certain % of average revenue etc.

best guess: ~15% of max payroll budget in league is probably as high as it goes.

demand is a key too. at default or non-hand made it's probably not an issue. if only one team has money, the only time the player will get a bigger deal is through an extension. in this situation you will more likely save money in FA - the opposite of normal as far as probability of what should happen.

the ai may not be smart enough to recognize this situation, but a human should know of its possibility and recognize it when your players ask too much and you never see FA get that sized contract or at least very seldomly..

you can see this effect if you make cash on hand unlimited, for example.
