It never ceases to amaze me how intolerant this forum is.

There should be a disclaimer at the top of every thread stating "Minority opinions punishable by hissy fit from fanboy".

(By the way, I love manager mode.)

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

Interesting comment, considering I'm the one that had the "hissy fit", yet said nothing about how enjoyable the game is.

Seriously, the only reason I went off a bit is because of the "how embarrassing" part. I felt that was out of line. Was I out of line? Perhaps, perhaps not. I wasn't being a "fanboy" though. My screen name doesn't have "Cooley" in it.

Single people laugh and scoff at this feauture.

Married people tell stories about this feature.

So, I imagine, if you are a female cougar-type OOTPB fan, you could collect the e-mails of all of the scoffers and have yourself a good time.

My wife does not like the managerial feature in OOTPB. I've already asked a couple of times to allow the user to change the wife's name and age. I would also add now that there should be a way to edit the personal diary. One time, my wife paged through OOTPB and found that my 42-year-old manager (who was based on me) had proposed to 21-year-old Eve (who is definitely not based on my true wife) dozens of times.

Actually, including a web link to a good marriage counsellor might be the best thing to add to the next patch...

You all talk about marrying your cyber-wives and stuff. I bet you don't even know her birthday. That's the problem right there. I proposed to my wife on her birthday and she thought that was so romantic. All I know is that I killed two birds with one big rock.

I didnt mean for this to turn into a flame war. I was just stating my opinion.
He also stated this took very little time at all to code, so it's not like it really took away from other things.

I mean, I do see where you're coming from, but it doesn't really matter. Some enjoy it, some don't. If someone turns away from a game because they see how you can have a "real life" in a mode, that's more or less their loss. It's much more beyond that, and I think anyone looking for a "good" baseball game probably wouldn't turn away. Those looking for a casual game, probably would.
