Didn't need to as many colored Braves as other teams in the Fifties because there was a lot of colored pics already out there for them

Ed Mierkowicz (colorized and custom)
Ed Merkowicz passed recently, as SPORTSMEM817 posted a few days ago. And krantz has posted his colorization elsewhere, today.

I chose a different image and figure I might as well toss it out there. This one was from a 2013 article in the Downriver Sunday Times. I didn't like the background for either, so I dropped Ed into a fairly anonymous Comiskey Field backdrop, fwiw. The backdrop was actually a badly discolored image of Bob Shaw (which you've probably seen). I mention that because, earlier, SPORTSMEM817 told us about the "white balance" button in GIMP and, in this case, it was the "Equalize" button in the same section of GIMP controls that saved me immeasurable time and effort. (Never had played with any of those buttons before, so I'm thankful for the original tip.) I'm noticing, now, the right ear looks doubled up; I suspect I didn't cover up Mr. Shaw quite as well as I'd thought.

Cusick - No problem, enjoy. Outside of the A's, who I'm done with, I'm only about half way thru the other teams including the Cubs
