So, it's the 12th of September now... (1.0.3 Update)

I was playing iOOTP 2012 today after a long workday and I want to show a crazy season ending (me = Boston):

Nothing special here, one game to go, Yankees 1 game behind the leading Blue Jays, Redsox are out but play the Yankees for game 162.

Whats that, a 2. Wildcard! Now Game 162 between the old rivals will get very interesting.

Hurray me! A tie for the 2. Wildcard, on to Game 163.

What a bad way to end a season.

Yankees continue with a 1-Game Playoff game against Seattle. Since they had to use Sabathia in game 163 they lose it and go home just like me.

One of the most wished additions: a "Show Opponent" button so you can see who is up next after switch hitting your pitcher.

Another top-wish: Pitches Thrown + Status directly on the Field View.

Add in the possibility to look up all past champions (not only last year) and I think iOOTP 2012 gets even better.

It was really late with my post so here is the 1.0.3 update list in normal form:

- 2. Wildcard added
- Pitches Thrown + Status added to Field View
- "Show Opponent" Button added so you can check who is coming up after pinch hitting for your pitcher (or in other situations)
- Possibility to look at past champions for every year you played, not only the last one
- Bugfixes and small cosmetic changes/fixes

Note: 2. Wildcard is save game compatible, so in a league in year 2013 or later, as long as you are at least one day before regular season end, the game will use the 2. Wildcard.

One info so you don't wonder: I will label everything as Fix in the update description (e.g. Fixed 2. Wildcard) because Apple will (likely) eject every update that adds new features (because they have something new in the Guidlines we don't support at the moment) but will accept bug fixing updates. So our new features are all bug fixes now.

The update looks great. I can't decide if I'm more excited about the 2 wildcards or the Pitches Thrown + Status being added to the Field View. THANKS again for all your hard work!!!

When do you anticipate the update being available?
(I promise not to ask again )

I will submit it to Apple this week. Then I only can cross my fingers.

My big question is how on earth did you set it up where the Mariner's actually one the division? Trades? A certain way to set up the game? I am really interested in this being a Mariner fan who has never, ever been this close to play-offs (or maybe is it just shows what a bad player I am

Thanks Sabastian!

I have found that trades -- lots of them -- can accomplish near miracles.

If you enjoy the trade aspect of the game (my favorite aspect), you are in luck, because successful trading requires quite a bit of time and comparison shopping.

Somewhere, probably, someone is trading Houston's way to the World Series.
