What's the youngest player your scout has found?

On a return trip from Canada my scout was pleased to inform me he found a lead on a 15 year old firstbaseman. His potential relative to my league is 76/80, currently 20/80. I am currently managing in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (AA) and am shortlisting this youngster for sure !

Why not just sign him now?

He's the Manager at the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (AA), non-Major league managers can't sign players.

? Ty, are you saying that as a minor league GM, you can sign players??

Meanwhile, I still think a cool feature for minor league GMs would be a "recommend player" button or something, that urges senior management to sign a particular player. Would be cool.

I don't know about the youngest player but I started a standard league and had a 37 year old on my Rookie League team.

Yah, that's been logged. Adds flavor to a league, imho. Just chalk it up to a marketing gimmick.

I signed a 16 year old pitcher from Cuba who came in, became my ace on day one, won rookie of the year, and then won two Cy Young awards.

Didn't Disney make a movie about that guy who played for the Devil Rays for a couple of seasons? He was about that age.

Why should it be logged?

My scout found a 17 y/o Relief Pitcher in Puerto Rico...I forget what country he was from, it was one I've never heard of before, but he's not any good.

Did you guys read about the 83 year old who just got an at-bat in the minors? I think it was either today or yesterday. He actually fouled one off. The pitch was 83 or 84 mph. The guy was serious when he said that if he got another at-bat or two he could get a hit. How about that!

15 years old?? Joe Nuxhall revisited! That kid's going to be a legend, haha! Keep us informed as to how he progresses. I'm pretty curious. . .

EDIT: Hahah! Durrrrr! I didn't try the links above, guess I already stated the known and obvious. Sorry, fellas.
